In your textbook, the authors describe how social welfare policies are affected by various historical, social, economic and political elements.
Choose a single social welfare policy. Two possible options for this assignment include the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP – formerly known as Food Stamps) or Medicaid Expansion in the state of Arkansas (part of the PPACA). If you choose one of these two options, there are folders with additional information on these policies. These folders can be found in the tab on Blackboard that is labeled “Helpful Links & Articles for Final Paper.” You may, of course, use these resources, however they must be cited correctly (according to APA) in-text and in your reference page.
