Navigate to the threaded discussion and respond to the following items:
Compare and contrast at least 2 established measuring scales that are used to assess the same disorder or symptoms (e.g., two scales that measure suicide risk).
Based on your choice of measuring scales, ask your clinical preceptor which measuring scales they use. For example, if you chose measures for suicide risk, then ask your preceptor what is used for suicide risk and assessment at the clinical practice.
Be prepared to provide an overview of the measuring scale used at your site, by your preceptor, including an example of questions from the measuring scale, how to score the client’s responses, and cut-off scores that may indicate clinical significance (e.g., high suicide risk).
Choose one measuring scale that you feel most comfortable using in your own practice and explain why.
