My challenge to you this week is to write three pages of stream of consciousness. For stream-of-consciousness writing, you write whatever thoughts enter your head and do not pick up the pen or pencil from the paper until your three pages are complete. (You will not turn in your stream of consciousness, so please do not sensor your writing.) After each day, I want you to set the writing aside for at least one hour; then, go back and read what you wrote. By the end of the week you will have written 15 pages of stream of consciousness.
Then, I would like for you to write one to two paragraphs responding to your stream of consciousness.
Was there anything surprising?
Was there anything redundant?
How are you feeling about the writing?
What are your thoughts about it?
Was there anything hidden that you had not thought about before?
Did it give you any direction toward your project?
Is there anyone who needs to hear what you wrote?
