Prompt:

The Discussion Board posts will constitute the class participation portion of the final grade.
The Discussion board will start each week on Monday at 12:00 AM EST and end on Sunday at 11:59 PM EST.
Read all materials and submit first post by Wednesday 11:59 pm EST. Respond to your peers and faculty no later than Sunday 11:59 pm EST.
During this course, students are expected to discuss ideas with others. Students are also expected to facilitate and share with other course participants. The discussions will demonstrate active involvement with the material being covered. Students will have a shared responsibility for learning, and for creating and sustaining the learning community within the context of this course. Please read the discussion board grading criteria.
Students are asked to discuss issues in an effort to increase everyone’s understanding of the issue, as opposed to a regurgitation of the facts.
Discussion should show evidence of having read the textbook and other assigned sources. Comments should not be isolated or disjointed. Communication skills such as good listening are evident in well thought out discussions. Comments show evidence of a thorough reading and analysis of the material assigned. Ideally, there is a willingness to test new ideas rather than offer only cautious or ‘safe’ comments. Students may interact with other class members by asking questions or challenging conclusions.
All Canvas contributions and posts must be posted into the designated Forum. Type your responses into Discussion Forums and other Canvas course sites. Otherwise, your entries/posts will not translate to the Canvas Grade Book (Do not attached as a document).
Do not copy and paste from a website. This is considered plagiarism and will be treated as such. Paraphrasing is acceptable with appropriate citation.
Direct quotes from an author’s work should be put in quotations, with the relevant page number in APA format. Your summary (paraphrase) of quotes is more meaningful than extensive quotes. At the end, include any references. A link is not considered a reference; write out the author or association and peer-reviewed journal with the electronic URL using APA for electronic references.
There is no set number of posts required for this course. Discussion board posts will be evaluated on quality and not quantity. Usually, you must post a comment before being able to see others’ comments. You must always comment to your peers…this constitutes discussion.
For your initial post, please respond to each question listed. Please respond by addressing each question/item individually. This helps you ensure you answered each questions and it also helps me find the information you were specifically outlining for each question. For example,

1. XXXXXXXX

2. XXXXXXX

3. XXXXXXX
